It's hard to believe that we have already finished our first full day in Israel. Wednesday and Thursday blurred together into one exhausting but amazing first day. As we were leaving Ben Gurion airport, Megan was up to her mischievious ways. She convinced us that we had lost the entire groups' passports before we even left the airport. Thankfully that was not the case and that all her humor was to make sure we were awake and on our toes. After a short drive, we jumped right into the streets of tel aviv with a scavenger hunt which pushed us to be resourceful, creative, and interact with the people of Tel Aviv.
We then had our first group falafel experience for lunch, which did not disappoint. After exploring the streets for ourselves, we visited independence hall and learned about Israel's declaration of independence. Although everyone was exhausted after a long day of travel, we boarded the bus to Jerusalem and prepared for one last mystery stop.
As everyone was sleeping on the bus, Reid and Rachel blindfolded us and walked us to our final destination. We sat on a ledge, simultaneously took our blindfolds off, and turned around to see a magnificent overlook of Jerusalem. This was a perfect way to relax and welcome us to Israel. Our first day was jam-packed and unbelievable. After 36 hours without sleep, it's time for us to get some rest!
Stay classy B-more,
Ethan and Cassidy
